Festival Help – Spring
The Spring Maze
I follow the same path through the maze except for the two race quests.
For both races – go to the middle of the maze and then to the exit. And for a quick video with easy-to-remember directions.
Enter the maze and follow the path until you have the option of going left or right at the signpost. Turn slightly left and go diagonally to the northeast and then go left and quick right around the wall to the center of the maze. Continue east then left and quick right around the wall to another signpost. Finally, turn slightly left and go diagonally to the far wall and follow it around to the exit.
There are three elves along the south wall, one on each end and one near the center. Use “select” to find them – they move around. There are three elves along the north wall – one on each end and one south of the northwestern one.
The northwest area has the most “tweens” but you can get 4 pretty quickly by standing in the corner south of the entrance or in the corner south of the exit.
Signposts and beers are fairly easy to find by using select and use.
In real life, when lost in a maze (or a building or a cave), put your hand on a wall and follow it without lifting your hand until you find the exit. You can do the same here by pretending to put your hand on a wall.
Horse Races
The hardest part of the horse race is learning WHEN to jump. Instead of jumping at the END of the plank, jump from the middle of one plank to the middle of the next one.
I believe these pics are the first jump in the Shire but the principle applies to each jump in both races. Jump across the curves and the voids.
