If you haven’t done this with us before PLEASE PRINT these instructions. Make sure you understand what to DO and what NOT to DO.

When: PENDING.

Where: Meet up at Stock in the Shire.

Who: Minstrel elves or men. Hobbits and dwarves are at a disadvantage because they have to swim more often. Minstrels kill faster at low levels than other classes. (Less cooldown.)

How: Don’t wait until that day but go now and set up an Itty Bitty and get through the introduction. Send the name of the toon to Fenpoppy.

Why: We need LotRO Points.

Required: A 90 minute slayer accelerator. (You can use any combination to get 90 minutes.) I recommend that you get it in the AH if you don’t have one, it’s 100 LP in the store and we don’t want to spend any points. You’ll also get a 30 minute accelerator out of your BLUE box and you’ll need it.

Make sure you talk to the Barterer (Little Delving, door of Thorin’s Hall, at the dock in Celondim, and near the milestone in Archet) to use your 5 Tokens of Salutation. You can buy 2 potions and a Novice’s Mark which boosts your run speed by 5% until level 15. You can also slot it in your skill bar for a 10% boost for 10 seconds (15 minute cool down so use it wisely).

     * We'll be QUICKLY working our way through one area at a time as a team.
     * We recommend that you forego buying the riding skill (and you can purchase it as soon as you have the 95 LP it requires BUT), we're going to be deleting these toons, don't waste LP on them.
     * There are also some Enmity deeds. The first two start at level 13 and require 50 kills (wolves and spiders for Hobbits, Dourhands and goblins for Dwarves, goblins and orcs for Elves), another 10 LP. Make sure we get enough of these to earn those points. You can find the rest of them in the Wiki, scroll down to Racial Deeds.
     * Kill everything you see in the starter areas to level up faster and get enough coins to get a cab to the next area.
     * You can leave the starter area at 5 or kill everything and be an 8 or 9 with more skills; we'll need those skills to kill faster.
     * When you finish the intro, talk to the barterer, check your mail and open the BLUE box as many times as you can to get your starter items. DON'T USE your RED box or Writ of Special Passage until we're all together and ready to start. Send mail to Fenpoppy.
     * Go to the stable and take a cab to Bree, then go to the festival grounds and set your milestone then make your way to Stock.
     * DON'T USE your accelerator until we get to Narrowcleeve.

After we’ve done all the slayer deeds (or our accelerators have expired) we can do the explorer deeds for a few more LP. Then we can send the things we want to keep to alts (including cash). Don’t forget to sell everything left in your bags (and strip the poor fella naked and sell his gear, too).

These tips will work on any toon and any server so you can start an LP toon anywhere if you don’t have slots left on Crick. You can do them solo but it’ll take you a little longer and you might need an extra slayer accelerator.

If you want to try this on your own, this is the best order to work in:
Shire
brigands – Narrowcleeve
flies – Valeheight
spiders – at the quarry
goblins – Golfimbul’s Hole (west side of the Greenfields)
slugs – Rushock Bog
wolves – wolf den and Dora’s farm

Run to Michel Delving and take a stable horse to Celondim.

Ered Luin
wolves – Nan Hilith
goblins – Limael’s Vineyard
brigands – Kheledul
birds – across from Thrasi’s Lodge
spiders – Talath Ondren

Port to the kin house in Breeland and run out the gate to the marsh.

Bree – doesn’t flow as well as the other 2 areas
flies and neekers – south and east Midgewater Marsh
spiders – north and west Midgewater Marsh
brigands – Blackwold’s Roost
Use the milestone to get you to the festival grounds and run to the orc camp.
NOTE that the remaining mobs are much higher in level – 18-21
orcs – Cirith Nur
Run back to the festival grounds and take the swift horse back to Bree and hurry to the Barrows.
barghests – North Barrow Downs
wights – North Barrow Downs
huorns – South Barrow Downs

Deeding Day — 4 Comments

  1. This went really well and we have pretty much earned 200LP each day that we have played these guys. Our toons are finishing the Barrows and heading to the Lone Lands where we expect to get another 230LP. For someone who needs fast LP, Ered Luin can be done rather quickly and rewards a total of 180LP plus a key for finishing everything. You can also use a higher level toon to farm Rep items and give them to a lower level but make sure of the level first. You must be at least level 35 to use Thorin’s Hall and Mathom Society rep items, Bree items require level 20. Making kin in an area rewards about 60LP, although some areas require more work (i.e. Lossoth of Forochel).

  2. The 2 accelerators add up to TWO hours. If you take another hour to finish explorations, you’ll add more LP. On a recent toon, I added up all his LP and it was 365. 365 LP in three hours – not bad. The Shire is 85, Ered Luin 95, Bree 150, Class 10, Enmity 10, Epic Battles 5, Rep 10 – he didn’t make the first level of rep with Thorin’s. If you decide to do the explorations, remember that the horse whistle is only good for 24 hours, real-time, if you don’t do explorations that day, you’ll have to run.

  3. If you do a lot of these, it’s well-worth the effort to get the Apprentice or Jouneymans Riding Trait – these packages grant the riding skill and faster mounts to EACH toon on your account. Unfortunately, they’re very expensive.
