There are currently 91 points available in your trait tree. How many do you have? I was shocked to find that I only have 74 or, rather, I was shocked that I could have 17 more. I’ve created a table to show how to get the points and left blanks for you to fill in what you have but first, here are some pointers.

If you’re not yet a level 105, you can easily figure how many points you have for leveling. Subtract 5 from your level then divide by 2. If you’re dividing an odd number, round down. (Lvl 65-5 = 60, 60/2 = 30 points or Lvl 50-5 = 45, 45/2 = 22 points.)

Class deed meta-deeds are listed in class deeds and are labeled Tier I through Tier 8. Make it a point to put the skill buttons for these in an easily-accessible place and use them as much as possible. There are daily limits on how many times you can increment the deeds but some of them are 50 a day. I like to click the buttons while I’m waiting for NPCs to finish talking in “Travel Now” instances and while I’m waiting for some of the fest quests to start (like shrew stomping or beer bash). Level 39 books are available from your trainer.

If you need to mentor or heal people or raise from dead, it won’t be easy but you can practice on characters around you for the healing and mentoring and I’ve found a way to practice rezzing. (Folks standing at the vaults are easy to use because they’re so busy with what they’re doing, they don’t notice what you’re doing; crafters are also good for healing and mentoring.) Both healing and rezzing require working on characters within a few levels of your ‘toon. Self-heals count.

My rezzing idea requires a skill deed accelerator and a friend who is willing to die. Maybe we can take turns on this one. I have 6 toons who need to learn to rez. Stand your friend in the lava in Moria (Flaming Deeps). You’ll have to find something that will kill instantly at your level. Pop your skill accelerator and rez him and have him NOT ACCEPT the healing. Continue doing this until you’re done.

Using a specific combat skill like Quick Shot or Bladewall requires mobs that are NOT gray. Go somewhere that they’re green and use that skill to do a slayer deed. If you’re lucky enough to be in the right level range, you can also practice on the training dummies at Galtrev, Stangard, Snowborn and Harwick (lvl 75), Forlaw, Snowborn and Aldburg (85) or Dol Amroth (100).

Check your completed deeds to make sure that you’ve done them before checking them off in the list. You can find the table here. You can print it out or just copy and paste it to your NotePad and fill it in as you go. You can also download a spreadsheet. NOTE that 15 of these points aren’t available until around level 100 when you can go to Gondor, Anorien, Mordor and beyond.

Max Your Trait Tree — 4 Comments

  1. Okay, we’re up to Ered Mithrin and Update 23. I’ve tried to make everything read correctly but, after this, I’m only going to change the tree, not the example or the text on this page.

Since our list has grown so much, you’ll need to set up your page before you print it and remove the headers and footers so it will print on one page.
